  The Whalehead Club
Currituck County has quite the reputation as a "Sportsman's Paradise". The community of Whalehead Beach is rich with wildlife as well as history. Whalehead Beach was developed by Mr. Kabler and Mr. Riggs in the 1960's. At that time there were no paved roads or public accesses north of Duck Village. The community was designed on a simple grid system with large half acre lots. A paved road was installed about 1973 and access to Whalehead from Duck was made public in 1983.
